Our refrigerators filters should function and fit as advertised. Assuming you have purchased the correct filter for your fridge, you really shouldn't have issues installing the filters you purchased.
In the rare case that there is an issue with the refrigerator filter purchased (bad taste, leak, doesn't fit), there are some things we can try.
If you purchased more than one filter, we would ask that you try another and see if you have the same problem.
If the second filter fixes the issue - we will be happy to send a replacement filter.
