How to remove a stuck ULTRAWF or WF3CB filter

If you cannot remove your WF3CB (PureSource3) or ULTRAWF (PureSource Ultra) filter the instructions listed below may be helpful. This should work whether it is a factory original OEM filter or any other brand of aftermarket replacement

 

Use a flat screw driver to pop off the side plastic cover. This will expose a screw that holds the housing in place. Remove that and then there is an opening near the bottom that you can fit your finger into. Push up on the plastic connector that the water filter seats into while also pushing the water filter in. The filter comes right out.
